    At Mencap, our ambition is for every person we support to receive the highest quality support. We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our Governance and Quality Directorate as our Head of Quality Assurance. Reporting to the Director of Quality, you will lead Mencap's quality assurance and improvement approach across a complex national organisation.

    In this role, you will be responsible for leading our Quality Assurance Framework, including our audit programme, quality intelligence and organisational learning. You will ensure that insights from audits, incidents and reviews are translated into meaningful improvements in practice, helping to drive safer, more consistent and person-centred support across Mencap.

    You will provide clear and insightful assurance reporting to senior leaders, executives, committees and trustees and will lead a talented quality assurance team, building capability, specialist expertise and a culture of continuous improvement. You will also support the development and embedding of evidence-based approaches, including Positive Behaviour Support and quality of life measures.

    We are looking for someone with significant experience in quality assurance, Practice, audit, inspection or compliance . You will have a strong understanding of social care regulation and quality standards, excellent analytical and leadership skills, and a track record of delivering sustainable improvements that improve outcomes for people.
